Chris Koval is the driving force behind Future Sounds Disc Jockey Service. Koval has been doing businesses as Future Sounds since 1998. His entertainment background encompasses 38 years behind a microphone and 14,000 career events. Working on television, sound and lighting production for bands, radio personality and DJ/MC in clubs are part of his foundation. He polished his technical skills, voice, and personality during his decade of work on radio.
His wedding experience and time in the events industry began in early 1993. Koval has been an active participant and part of the event process for 4 decades. In 2015, Koval expanded his AV services leading to his sister company Sound LAVS (Lighting, Audio and Video Services). Koval launched Cake Mapping in January 2022. Projection Mapping launched in September 2022. Digital Mapping was added to the mix of options, and the parent Mapping TX was exposed and launched in June 2023. Frilsay or Framed Illuminated Sayings launched summer of 2024 with variations of service options expanding in each area for clients’ needs since each product start.
Academically, Chris worked for 15 years in higher education. Chris has a B.A. in Technical Communication and a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Instructional Technology. Koval was the communications coordinator for the office of information technology at UTSA. He was the liaison between the IT area and campus community. He also help teachers learn how to better incorporate technology into the online environment. Socially, he is an active member of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) serving as the current Regional Vice President for the ILEA US South-Southwest Region, served as the 2021-2022 San Antonio Chapter President, an active member of the National Association of Catering and Events (NACE), and active member of the Alamo Area Hospitality Association (AAHA) where he served as the 2019 President and a member of the San Antonio Tourism Alliance.
If you ask why, he does what he does? It revolves around the feeling of joy that it brings him and others! His WHY statement is: “To create joyful memories for others elicits fulfillment for the present, the past and the future". Koval has a proven positive record of accomplishment and longevity with his business, industry experience, and technical knowledge. Looking back, he can appreciate the purpose and role he played in many life events. Although many things have changed over the years, his tagline …lifelong dreams, …unfolding excitement…, and everlasting memories has not.
